S.M.A.R.T. Goals Day 2 – Measurable
Measurable goals are goals that have results that have tangible evidence that the goal has been met. It goes without saying that you want to meet the goals that you set, but how can you do that if you don’t put some sort of measurement on those goals. Let’s say you are practicing your free throws for the upcoming basketball season. Do you tell yourself that you are going to make some of the free throws and learn from the ones you didn’t make? You want to go into that practice with the mindset that you are going to make a certain percentage of the shots you take. That makes your goal measurable. At the end of the practice you can honestly sit back and see if you have attained the goal or you have not attained the goal. A goal that is not measurable is unattainable, and we will learn in a few days that unattainable goals don’t do you any good.
Make your goals MEASURABLE. You want to be able to tell if you met your goal at the completion of the time frame you gave yourself.
