Time to start thinking about your goals for the New Year. You all know I don’t like resolutions, I would prefer you made goals. Keep them SMART.
S.M.A.R.T. Goals – Day 1
Creating a goal: Step 1 – Make your goals as SPECIFIC as possible. Write down what you are going to do with the specifics of how you are going to do it. This part is the why, what and how you are going to achieve your goal.
Bad Goal: In 2015 I will get in shape and not eat out as much.
Good Goal: In 2015 I will lose on average 4lbs per month by working out at least 20 minutes a day 4 days a week, and will limit myself to eating out only twice per week.*
*This goal needs some additional fine tuning, but it is a great example of being specific.
